As with most fans of my generation, I began my fandom career with ST:TNG. I moved on to the Jossverse and will often be identified by my pale skin peeking out from under a Joss Whedon Is My Master Now t-shirt. I vaugely helped with putting on the 2006 Can’t Stop the Serenity screening in Portland, OR, and was a regular at the Mission Theater’s Tuesday night Buffy screenings.

I write fanfiction. I’ve sailed on the USS Spander, the RCN McShep, and OT3 Simon/Kaylee/Serenity.

I started out as a DCU girl, but after Identity Crisis and Batgirl’s ‘death’, I got pretty meh about the whole crew. While I miss Ted with a great burning loss (Edit 1/30/08: wait, he’s not really dead, he’s just one of the greatest heroes I’ve never heard of! YAY!), Jamie Reyes is a pretty damn good Blue Beetle. And I want to be Molly from the Runaways when I grow up, if I can’t be Spider Jerusalem.

I use LOLCats in business situations and have gotten two officemates addicted to the Kingdom of Loathing (where I go by the 3am-induced name of LoverPrimeNumbah).

I’m a single woman in my late 20s with a BA in Social Science and a M.Ed. in Cross-Cultural Education, which probably explains why I spent most of 2007 unemployed. I’ve also spent the majority of the last five years as a temp in two different states, so I know from fluctuating income. Presently I am working two jobs, and the part-time vaugely-above-minimum-wage retail gig is the one that pays my health care and has a 401(k) matching program. *shrugs*

I asked for Legos this Christmas and got a TIE Fighter.
